“Joining BSW is the best decision I’ve made, I was 19 years old when I joined and was very unsure with what career I wanted to move into and when I came across the academy and had a chat with Alessandro it was a no brainer for me to sign up.

All 3 educators, Alessandro, Rhys and Ben are all amazing guys who boosted my confidence so much throughout the 9 weeks and really made me find a career that I enjoy.

If you’re debating wether you should join the course I would say just take the plunge and go for it, it’s great value for money and you will not regret it

I studied here to gain my Level 2 barbering qualification and it was one of the best decisions I have made. At the beginning of 2022 I started this course with no background or knowledge in barbering and 9 weeks later left with the skills, knowledge and confidence to be a barber - I currently work at a shop in Swansea where I am continuing my journey as a barber.

As for the course, you are taught by some of the best in the industry, there isn't any hairstyle/hair type that they can't cut. As well as teaching the fundamentals, they also show how you apply this to each individual and the intricacies of different hair types (afro, straight, wavy).

During the course you spend 8 of the 9 weeks hands on, cutting clients hair every single day and at the end of each week, you receive feedback on what your strengths are and how to improve your weaknesses.

Rhys, Ben and Alessandro are great lecturers! They are so supportive, knowledgable and are a great laugh.

Overall, it was a great experience and if you are thinking about studying here, you won't regret it!

As a recently graduated student successfully gaining my NVQ Level 2 barbering, studying here was one of the best decisions I have made. I already had some knowledge of cutting hair and practice on family members which got me thinking, 'I could do this for a living'. However, being in that undecided state of mind about could it be a career or is it just my hobby, Alessandro offered me to come down for a taster day. This involved talking about the what the course entails, history of barbering, a demo and getting you involved in your first cut. Coming away from that day, I knew instantly this is what I wanted to do. I had a dream, I chased it and now I am living the life that makes me happy

During the course, you spend 8 of the 9 weeks hands on, cutting 4-5 clients hair every single day.

Alessandro and Ben are amazing educators, they are so supportive, knowledgeable and very clear with explaining the processes if your unsure.

Overall, it was the best experience and if you are thinking about studying here, you won't regret it!!!!
